There's no such thing as "purebred Easter Eggers," they're all mutts. They come in all shapes and colors.
Ya, I know, I was being sarcastic. Just trying to make myself feel better for getting "chicken burnt"....again. The eggs were sold to me as purebred Ameraucanas. So far I'm batting 1000 for being misled. I still loves me chickens though. Hang on Blzzrd, your almost there.
LOL We must be kin, cause I totally got your sarcasm! On a good note. My Easter Eggers are the most reliable layers and the most friendly. And somehow the more comical ones. Maybe just my luck. I wonder what I should call my Polish cross? I have a beautiful white crested blue Polish hen. My head Roo is a RIR. She runs like a road runner to stay away from the other roos, so its a pretty good chance the RIR fertilized her eggs. I have 3 in the bator! I am so excited to see if her eggs hatch with that cotton top head. Still no signs of chicks here, but I hit 21 days later today.
