Setting first eggs tomorrow - 3/23

6 out...3 that have pretty large holes made...getting close to getting to hold these babies...

Yay! 5 so far...every one is black. Some have more white, some have what looks like rose combs, some have single combs...they all look like little penguins...

I would love me a baby penguin!

I'll try to take another pic but they look like crap through the side of the incubator...I'll definitely take pics once they are free from the brinsea. So far number 7 has feathered feet

A couple look more gray or silver than black...I really wanted some colors. But apparently different moms and same dads doesn't give too much chick variety. I feel confident they won't all end up black as adults though

So exciting!! Thank you so much for posting updates! No action over here. I'm pretty sure I had the humidity too high the whole time and they'll all drown (not really, I hope, but the anxiety is killing me!) luckily it's my sweeheart's birthday so I have something else to focus on. Kinda. Day 21 is tomorrow for us.

Me too! It's actually good, I think. They usually take 21 days and that will be tomorrow. We wouldn't want them to hatch too early and not make it. It sure is hard to wait, though. I think MissNu put hers in a day before us

Who knows, we could wake up with babies in the bator tomorrow!

That made me lol I can't believe you have 7 already. I think ours are in a race to see who can get out the fastest! I have 3 out, 3 zipping, one big pip with its beak out, and about 6 more pips. I have to leave for work now but I will update with pics when I get home late tonight.

I just did a quick candle and in a few if them I still see veins by the air cell...is this bad? Does this mean they aren't ready for lockdown yet? They are kicking around like crazy though...
