Two have hatched, one with a rough navel. But they are both white and they come from a brown egg?? They say they have leghorns and RIR. Not sure if they are a cross or what. But we have two more pips, one of which is starting to zip.
And as always, the first one is enormous and probably a roo.
Cool- Congrats. Just a guess, but do they have white rocks? They are a white bird and lay brown eggs. I think Delewares would hatch out white, too. I'll find out in about a week.
Amazing! (not the three legs, that supermarket eggs can be hatched!) BTW, I know leghorns are not very exotic, but ours two are very sweet, soft to hold, and are at the top of the pecking order but very conciencious leaders of the flock.
Yeah, we are totally confused about what they are.... they came out of enormous brown eggs and are totally white. The leghorns lay white eggs and the RIR would be red. I have not been able to find any information of whether or not that combination would make sex links. If they do, and my chicks are all white, then we have all roosters on our hands. Ugh.... And I know at least one of them is a roo. It is HUGE and has a HUGE comb.
