Hate waiting. I just want to pick up the other one and shake them!! It is so hard to wait.

On the broody front: We went out there this morning to discover that she got up and went out this morning - as evidenced by the ginormous black poop on the ground that could only have been left by a broody hen who hasn't pooped in a while!

I am a little concerned about that, but I am assuming that she knows what is best. I expect to find a little one peeking out from under her by tomorrow! I figure that if I have a pip, then she probably does, too!

I was reminding myself that even though I put them in on a Tuesday morning, it took all day to get them warmed up, so maybe by tonight they will all be ready...

Seriously, though, those peeps are so tiny. They are easily missed. Just the hum of the bator can cover them. Make sure all the sounds in the room are off. We have to turn off the computer in that room cause the computer fan is too noisy to hear the peeps. Bathroom fans, noisy lightbulbs, etc. - off. Then tap on the glass... (just kidding

) just listen. They are worn out, so they pip and then sleep a lot.

Get a glass of wine already!
