Setting Today (03-02-2012)

I'm totally impatient, the closer it gets to hatch date. I candled again and still looks like all but one is doing good. :)

True, I set up my web cam and I can watch it on my phone so I find myself checking it out all the time. Even my dad is addicted to watching my eggs and chicks. He's currently watching eagle cam, LOL.

eagle cam? seriously? i've never heard of that. i run the risk of sounding very stupid here, but is it what the name implies? if so, how awesome is that? wow! i wish like crazy that i could hatch an emu! if i lived in the country, you bet i would!

Only one because my chickens weren't laying very good yet (winter and all) so I started this hatch with only 2 eggs. One of them is doing awesome and the other one looks like it quit around day 5 or 6. I'll check it again tonight but will be throwing it out if nothing has changed.
I candled and my remaining egg is mostly dark BUT I couldn't see any movement. Is this a bad sign or do they not move much once the chick gets that big?

I candled tonight and had 4 more that were clear so it is like this:
bought 48, one broke in car on way home, added one of my own to make 48 in the incubator.
Lost my green laying hen and put her last two eggs(there were on the counter) in three days later = 50
4 out that were dead
4 more out that were done.
42 left in.
for me that is darn good since I got the 48 eggs at the local auction, most of the ones I got last year I did not have that good or rate.

yep it's a camera watching an eagle on her nest. There is one currently that is due at the end of the month and the cam even has night vision so you can watch it 24/7. It's fun to watch.

I am on Day 13th!
I totally don't have patience with anything.
I recandled tonight and saw a foot (or was it a beak?) lol. But it moved and was a form of something. lol.
Anyway, Tuesday 03-20-2012 is Day 18!!!
