I'm right there with ya Chicken_S still nothing I'm hoping my guys are just taking their sweet time.

On a happy note I got another wine cooler today and it's even bigger so I'm going to have something to keep me busy lol. Now I'll have an incubator and a hatcher

don't worry guys, for those of you that have to work....there are ALWAYS some stragglers...i'm sure you'll see some hatch. now i have 11 that have pipped! i can see one chick's beak and he/she is smacking her beak....so cute! i wonder if one will hatch before bed? i noticed one made his pip bigger...so maybe starting to zip i hope? so exciting!!

Mine are locked down. 12 made it to the end! One may have died on day 16, but you know how you want to see movement and then your mind plays tricks on you and you don't know if you saw it or your mind wanted you to think you saw it? Yeah. That happened with this one egg I really, really, really wanted to hatch.

All have my eggs have made it to lockdown! I locked down yesterday and right now, I heard some noise coming from the bator. I looked in to see some eggs rolling around. So exciting! Good Luck everyone!

congrats. i started with 12....down to 10 sooo it's not too much of a loss. I only candled 1 egg today prior to lockdown and saw movement so i'm not sure how many i will get in the end.

Yes, its safe to use. Do a search on BYC and see the sharpie test eggs that did fine. That particular test convinced me and we use it on the quails now, seems fine. On a egg note. only 7 of my eggs were fertile and passed the chick/no chick test. I was crushed. the breeder offered me more eggs so ill start again after the silkies that are in for the Easter hatch are in lockdown. The 7 look ok, but its sooo hard to tell with Maran eggs, all you can see is a dark area and a not QUITE as dark area....

I know how you feel! I got my shipped eggs a couple days ago after a delay at the PO. Most, if not all have detached air sacs. Uggggggggggggg...

I'm in lockdown .
Of my own 8 out of 13 made it into lockdown and from the eggs i bought 14 out of 15.
So i'm very pleased, now let them come out. I wanna see !!!!!!!!

woke up to 4 chicks! and a couple more are zipping and i got more pips during the night!! so cute! so far they all look the same, which i kinda figured they would. dark grey with white on their wing tips and white chest. i will post pics when its all over.
