Setting Today (03-02-2012)

Urgh today my bator is only running between 96 and 98 degrees. The temp in the house is actually hotter then it has been the past few days. The forces are really working against me aren't they LOL.

Hopefully they start doing something, I'm starting to get super worried.

I think that should be okay, I have heard high temps are much worse than low temps (of course neither is good)

So this may sound like an amateur question but I'm gonna ask anyway.
How do you know if your eggs have internally pipped?

I think when you hear chirping, but no outside indicators it means there is an internal pip.

Usually when one internally pips you can hear peeping. But the only sure way to tell is to candle and see. Buttttttt thats a no no. haha I did it on my last hatch though. I grew too impatient because my babies were overdue.

They waited for me to get home from work! I have 6 pips, one I can see is black, I can see his beak!

I put mine into lockdown and no peeps/zips...or in that matter chicks yet.
i candled on the 18th prior to lockdown and they seemed okay. the temp is at 100.
