Setting today 9-11 anyone with me?

Hang in there Lynne. Lets hope that it didn't cool down too much.

My boys(10 & 12 years old) and I candled again and it looks like there are at least 4 more quitters. The red sexlinks x ameraucana cross eggs don't look to be developing either, way to much light shining thorough even though the shells are kind of dark. I still had 7 Goldlaced Wyandottes and 4 Tetratint x Ameraucana eggs still developing.

I'll pull out the clear ones Wednesday night at lock down.

for steady temps and good humidity!

Guess I'm late on this one. We set 26 coronation sussex, purchased off eBay, on 9/11. On Saturday 9/24 we pulled 10 for being clear and one with substantial blood ring. 14 look really good so far and 2 we left in that I am suspicious of early death. Not bad considering our last batch only had 1 out of 30 hatch and only 3 making it to lockdown.

We are using an Octagon 20 Adv.

Good luck to everyone else.

I set 7 eggs with a broody on the 11th... 4 made it. 1 wasn't developing and the other two broke. I have 2 EE mutts and barred rock mutts maybe. I just grabbed a big ol' egg, a brown egg, and some green ones. Not sure who the dad of the EE babies are. The silkie roo tries but usually doesn't succeed. He's tries his best to get on her but with him being a bantie I suppose it's difficult.
I'm gonna try to candle the EE eggs with a stronger flashlight.

Babies due on Oct. 1st! Wooo!

Just candles my eggs.

After all of my temp issues. (got cool then too hot)

Pretty sure 3 of last 9 are dead.
Gonna leave them for now. Just call me hopeful.

2 looked pretty good, I think I saw 1 with movement but a little crowded in there.

3 too dark too tell.
That I am going to call a good sign.

Just hoping for something.
Actually either zero or two or more.

I have one solitary egg left. Started with 3 that were shipped so I guess that's not bad. I didn't really have high expectations. I'm not sure even this one is fertile. Though the others weren't for certain, this one looked quite different so hopefully that means it's gonna be a chick. I took out my turner, filled both the water trays in my Hovabator 2362n, added traction over the wire and put my egg in a cut down carton for lockdown. My egg should hatch this weekend. Well, it maybe won't but 21 days after the 10th is October 1st. If there is a chick in there it'll be getting ready. If it's alive it may hatch. I wonder if I'll be able to see it moving? When my sister was hatching eggs last they would move, it was really cool. Maybe I'll have a Wheaty Ameraucana soon?
