Here is my 9-11-2011 Rhode Island Red chick. It was hatched today at 3:30 pm. Really tickled he or she made it one day early!!! Please post chicks of your 9-11 too.

Out of the 4 I got what appears to be a BR and 2 silkie/EE crosses. Now just the biggest egg needs to pip!

Woke up this morning to one little Barred Rock baby.

Not much hope any other eggs will hatch but that one did, amazing.

That chick survived temp swings from 90 to 110. And no real lockdown.

The only thing is with an only chick I am going to be much too attached to it. This is supposed to be my first try at hatch out dual purpose birds. I hope she is a she so that her purpose can be eggs. Wish another would hatch, it will be really hard to integrate a single hen into the flock.


But she sure is cute. I am sorry I left my camera a work now.

I got another one of Skippy's babies. With gray colored feet and silver/white/yellow chick fuzz. Skippy makes cute babies. I'll get some pics when I can.
Biggest egg hasn't pipped yet though. Erm should I be worried or is this normal?

Currently at 8 completely hatched and 2 in the process of zipping. Still waiting on 2 to pip and 2 to start their zip.

This little guy is the only yellow one.

is a Black Ameraucana x Tetra Tint cross and came out looking like the tetra tint chicks did. He does have a beard but yellow legs?? It will be white when grown, I have read on here that white Easter Eggers are males. What do you all think?


The other 3 Easter Eggers (same cross) are Black, 1 with black chest, one with dark grey, and one with light grey. All have beards and dark legs.

I also got two golden laced wyandottes out of the dozen eggs I won on ebay. One has a rose comb and one has a regular comb.

These 2 are silkie x EE. I wonder how the lighter one is going to turn out. And the blue one has five toes just like his daddy! And black skin.
