Thanks... So glad your eggs are ok. I will take pics of the sketchiest ones. One or two look like double yokers, one even looks to me like two black dots are in there...

That's great.

All 30 beautiful eggs got fried by the LG - but there's hope cause they were fertile and a little black Leghorn went broody so I put eggs under her Sunday the 28th. 14 in all - does anyone think that's too many for a leghorn?
10 pure blk penedesenca and 1 welsummer, 1 blue JG, 1 wyandotte and 1 ameraucana all with a blk pene roo.

My only concern is all of them not fitting under her and getting chilled. She's willing but sometimes geometry doesn't work.
I know someone that put 8 big eggs under a silkie and none survived, dieing at various stages cause not all fit.
I have seen an egg peeking out from under her a couple times. I think I may remove 1 or 2.

Good point. If you think some are chilled then remove them. But also, have you candled them yet? You might end up removing a few anyway due to loss of embryo or infertility and then she can just finish with the rest.

Jopefully I will have 9 new lavender orp's running around

9 days here, if we're counting to 21. Two eggs still look like stuff is going on, jury is out on the rest. I stopped candling 'cos I have so few, and I'm not gonna throw any out as this is my first time and I'd hate to make a mistake.

Here's to hoping for the best! Good luck everyone.
