I have been sooooo frustrated these last 2 days. It's been so muggy that my humidity has been all over the place. It's been jumping everywhere from 65% to 90%
We just finally got it stabilized again and then we heard a chirp. As we looked closer, we noticed one of the eggs had pipped
It's only day 19 but it looks like we have an early riser
And the humidity here is supposed to drop tomorrow so hopefully I'll have everything stabilized by morning
UPDATE>>>>>
Ms. Cruella, my Spitzenhauben, has hatched out at least one baby. I went out to hen house to gather feed and lock up and knew I needed to put up a piece of cardboard on nesting box for safety of babies not getting away till she's ready and there it was the broken shell and the chirping of a baby.
Looks like an all nighter, I now have my second pip in bator, it could be 3 though one might have pipped on down side. Today is day 21 and it is night time so I figure by morning Ms. Cruella will have hatched all 5 of her eggs and all 11 in bator are hatching. I pretty sure, even though Ms Cruella had all shipped Marans eggs, she will hatch all I
she never (that I knew of) got off her eggs, she won't even take watermellon her favorite. So I think she was serious. We'll see. I'm so happy for her, she gets to be a mommy on her first try.
