Setting tonight 10/20/10...DAY 19 hatch....PICS

Day 18.....19 eggs have been locked down! I have my fingers crossed that I will get atleast one little fuzzy butt out of them!

Ahhh....I am working and my husband just sent me a message that he can hear chirping coming from one of the eggs. Is he hearing things, or do they really chirp before they have hatched? Dumb question probably, but I have never done this before!

Yes you can hear them chirp before they hatch. I wonder if it has pipped and he does not see the tiny little hole? The day I went into lock down I had eggs rolling and chirpping. It took a full 24 before any one zipped though. That is when it got so hard to sit on my hands and do nothing, so be prepared.

One has hatched on day 19......I'm soo excited....

These were my own eggs...being it was my frist time incubating I did not want to spend money on eggs. In my flock right now I have Buff Orpingtons, Silver laced wyandottes, EE's, a barred rock, a golden comet, and a RIR rooster.
We are currently sitting by the fire trying to decide what we are going to put in the incubator next. And NO we do not have a problem.
