Setting Up --- Incubator Questions

But is it bad for condensation to be there?
i just filled the tray up with water like the instructions said.
If you see condensation how do you get rid of it?

I put the water in a small cup next to the eggs ( actually its a tiny Tupperware), easier to see and MUCH easier to control humidity. Its a huge PITA to try and watch water under eggs IMO. I'm no expert but I was glad I got that tip from the girl I got the bator from.
I only uncover the hole ( we also only have 1 hole) if I'm trying to let humidity vent out for some reason, like a hatched egg putting it up over 80 %. But I keep breaking egg turners, so I have to open the bator to turn eggs and I get plenty of air exchange.

I put in a BIG dialed digital thermometer/humidity reader in so i can look and see temperatures and not freak out. Our hovabator stood at a steady 99 except for a few times the rooms got very cold over January.
Is it a still air or does it have a fan? That makes a difference.
