HI Everyone;
Day 18 here. I candled eggs yesterday. 11 of the 12 are alive and kicking.
Pretty sure I have one quitter.
I love all the pics of the new little chicks. Makes me more anxious for mine
to hatch.

Final count is 17 fluffy babies! Had two that never pipped and when candled showed no movement and had one pip on the wrong end. Think we did pretty good for our first time. We will be setting eggs for a friend on Friday, so I guess this is my new addiction!

Congrats! Your hatch was very successful! Are you going sell them all? Show us a pic of the little fuzzy butts!

Thanks for the input everyone. I purchased a Brinsea Advance Mini last night, it should be here by this time next week then I picking up eggs from a local gal here in Colorado Springs!! I'm sooooo excited!!

I'm soooooooooooooooo excited!! They are Easter Eggers....just what I wanted!

I figure if everything goes as planned, I will be setting my first eggs on the 23 or 24th of this month!

Haha! I changed out the shallow water dish for a small chicken waterer today - bright green base. The silkie babies ran into the corner and would not move. I guess a big green waterer is very scary when you are so little!

So glad to hear of more pips and hatches!!! I am ready to do it again! Just have to convince my husband.....this could be so ADDICTING!

I received my eggs from Scott this morning. I got 18 eggs, 16 Columbian rocks and 4 Wynd. I am letting them set until am . Then into the bater they goo , wheeeee. The col. eggs are really large and heavy. None broken or cracked, no separate air cells noted either. I am a happy camper.
