3 months old, out of the "rainbow egg layer" group from Murray. One of the friendliest pullets I've seen, has no problem with being touched and is ALLWAYS the first chicken to come for treats.

Little guy! From Murray, came along with the rainbow layers? Maybe Hedwig wasn't the free exotic, but a mid sexed Easter Egger after all-

Fuzzy feet! Free exotic from Murray- he's about 2 months old, the others in the photo are Dixie Rainbows and Blue Andalusians.

I think the
1 Red sex link
2 not sure but very pretty
3 can you get a better pic of her? Right now her feathers look fluffy...almost like a Silkie.

The first one looks like my red sex link hens. They are very friendly and good egg layers.

Red sex link pullet
Rose comb brown leghorn rooster
black cochin, could be a male from the redness on the comb.

Thanks everyone!

We had ordered 5 rose comb brown leghorn pullets in the last batch of chicks that "fuzzy feet" came along with in May- Somehow, we ended up with at least one roo of every kind we have got, except for the "sex link" and the free Cochin- now to decide who we'd like to continue with?

Dorkings? (Slow growers but I like 'em, kind of friendly, decent amount of eggs & REALLY want to brood)

Turkens? Fast growers, seem hardy- haven't started to lay yet.

Dixie rainbows? FAST growers, fairly friendly, no eggs yet.

Sex links? Friendly, not fussy. no eggs yet...

White leghorn? Skittish, but doing fine. no eggs yet...

Brown rose comb leghorn? Skittish, but ditto. no eggs yet...

Americana/auricana? Doing fine, no eggs yet...

Easter Eggers? Doing fine, no eggs yet...

And the poor ducks. Khaki Campbell's (doing OK) and green ducks (Cayuga), poor Cayugas lost 3 out of 4 already- Ducks are not as hardy and care free as chickens, we find.

It's an adventure!
