That's terrible! Looks like she is getting extremely well taken care of though.
Don't worry though! We had a fox attack our chickens during the night when we left the door open.
Two went missing and the other two we found down a creek near our house a day later.
One was fine but the other had a broken neck. We thought she was going to die but
we fed her water and watery mushed up grain/easy to eat food every 2 hours during the day for about 4-5 weeks.
It was extremely lucky we found her when we did! Chickens are pretty tough and they recover quite
well. Birds are used to having to recover from things - they need to keep their status out in the wild which
is why you don't find out about illnesses until it's pretty late with chickens or birds. If they were in
the wild they need to look strong and healthy so they aren't vulnerable - other birds can be big
bullies! Keep hope! You are taking wonderful care of her.
