I have RIR/White Leghorn chicks. Can you tell their gender by their coloring. What colors will they be.

only if the dad was RIR...why? well because leghorns are Silver and RIR are gold, gold is recesive to Silver, all of the males chicks will inherit gold but since Silver is dominant the chicks will be lighter, and since a hen´s only sex chromozome comes from her dad, the female chicks will be Gold only........

but since its a leghorn ALL the chicks will be born with white down..

Ok so I have a couple with all white feathers with a black spot or two. The a couple with only white. Then there is only one with white and fades to cream/buff/tan. What do you think I got? Im starting to think I have all roos I at least want one hen.

sorry No way to tell you for shure even if the dad was the RIR they will all be white at hatch...
