do you know where your trio came from? They may have the resessive lavendar gene, making your chick a coronation sussex, if you talking about what I think you are.

Thanks :)

You asked not too long ago to see my ghost barred pullet from a RSL x BR cross. Here is a younger pullet.

and we have a second generation of this cross (above girl x BR cockerel again) also turned out white with ghost barring.

Genetics are so interesting :)

These girls are REALLY pretty! Since I didn't see the earlier posts, are you consistently getting this result or is it more of a happy coincidence?

50% of the time it should happen this way.

I've got 1 barred and 4 ghost barred though. 2 girls, 3 boys. The boys are always skinnier and smaller than the girls. The girls are plump at a young age.

and thanks!!

have the hen and rooster got them from local agway, the other 2 have black marking ,thanks for the reply

did some reading on the coronation Sussex and I do believe that is what it is, the marking are even lighter than the pictures I've seen , looks like I might have to find some more for breeding as well as rebreeding the parents and see if it will happen again :)

I want to make some EE with interesting color, so I have a few EE hens with partridge coloring, and i have a black australorp rooster, wil this cross give me sex linked chicks????
