cackleberries, my SO LHAO at me too. She thought it was especially funny when I was trying to catch the little over active sperm producer and he would make a run/fly for the bamboo patch in which he knew I couldn't penetrate. So then I would manage to flush him from the bamboo only to get real close to him and he would make a quick turn and I would slip and fall in the MUD as I tried to match his quick turns.
Being a mallard cross he does have the ability to fly some, like two or three feet off the ground and maybe 25 to 30 feet at a time so he is quite hard to catch when he is in the yard. However, he mad the mistake of trying to give me the slip by trying to fly over the wood pile which is bordered by a fence on one side and he was a little too tired from all his hen chasing and being chased by me and was not able to clear it and I caught him up against the fence and wood pile.
I tell ya, if these two did not come from some a horrible existance and now have the perfect life and the fact I like having them around I would re-home them, but I will keep them for life.
