Sex these 4 week SLW?

Here is # 1 from the side showing the wattle:

Here is # 2 from the side (best pic I could get):

Just to clarify, these were vent sexed as female by the hatchery, but the redness of the combs has me worried. I picked these out from a number of 4 week olds and many of them had red combs, which makes me think that it could be a characteristic of the breed rather than a complete failure of the hatchery's vent sexing. (Sorry, I'm not sure which hatchery...). (I ended up picking fewer SLW than I had planned given my concerns, but I still got a few).

I'd still give them time.. They could surprise you. #1 doesn't have enough of a wattle to concern me, but it is quite red. Again, I'd wait it out. Post when they are 8 weeks old, and if still not sure at that age, post again at 12 weeks.

Thanks themadchicken,

That's definitely a much bigger comb at 6 weeks than I am seeing at 7 in #2. Number one went to someone who doesn't mind if it turns out to be a boy.

This is my first time with rosecomb chicks, so I don't have any experience to draw on.
