Sex?

Oh I don't doubt these are hybrids, but thats a new way to tell! Spaldings will have 20 and 18 as stated above? What about true greens?

Personally the crests indicate to me they are spalding and not high percentage at that. I was waiting to see if someone commented on that.

Peafowl of the genus Pavo - Indian and Green Species share this same trait. There are 18 retrice feathers in the tail of females and 20 in the males.

If you pump these hybrids with chitin- the shells of crustaceans- crayfish, prawns lobster- cut up in tiny pieces- and feed this to the bird daily with beet cubes and occasional dark red fruits- like pomegranate, old persimmon- pumpkin etc. - remove soy from the diet- the plumage will grow in pigmented more intensely, dramatically so.
