2 week old RIR - pullet or roo? Should be a pullet... But the feed store says they're only ever 90% sure.

It's a bit too early to tell, but as of now there are no signs of it being a cockerel.

Oh good! She's bigger than my Wyandottes and Dominique and her legs are thicker. I wasn't sure if it was a breed thing or if maybe she was a he.

Cockerel.Because in the second picture his Feathers seem to be pointed.

Cockerel.Because in the second picture his Feathers are pointed and I see Spur Bumps.

Actually they start getting cockerel feathers at the very earliest around 12 weeks, also both hens and roosters have spur bumps, and some cockerels never grow spurs and some pullets will end up growing them.

As for gender it is too young to tell for certain post more pictures in 4-5 weeks, but as of now there isn't early signs of being a cockerel.

All 4 have spur bumps though?

Pic 1 is the RIR, the other three are the Wyandottes and Dominique. The RIR has bigger bumps but she's bigger in general and a different breed.

All chicks have spur bumps. Some hens even develop spurs. So far no signs of a cockerel. As Rhodebar Lover said post again in a few weeks and we will know better if she is definitely a pullet.

It looks like a pullet for now, but it is too young to be sure.
