Sexing 4 week old Lavender “Orpington” i believe

When I got these babies, I was told they were Lavender Ameraucanas. But as I’m seeing them grow and develop, I’m not thinking they may be Orpingtons because of their combs. This is my first time having chickens, so I’m definitely no expert.

I think Chick #1 is a roo and Chick #2 is a pullet. Any ideas?

Not orpingtons, but I would say EE, some people get EE and Ameraucanas mixed up.
Probably more likely to be some variation of heritage mix opposed to an EE. Def not a lavender or blue Orpington. The red light might account for some of the color variation, but both would have slate legs, which these do not.

With a single comb and yellow legs it's going to be unlikely this bird will achieve the one and only EE qualification, which is to lay a colored egg.

It's an older post, but I'd bet the first is a cockerel and second s pullet.
