Well, two years later and I'm over run with blue eggs. I saved up a couple dozen blue eggs and stuck them under a broody and let the magic happen.I picked up a doz of them and dang if every one of them turned out to be roos except for two. I think the hatchery pawned off all their males to TSC and just called them straight run. So much for blue eggs any time soon.

Now i have plenty of of blue egg layers. The Ameraucana Roosters sure keep busy, and I have blue egg genes in a lot of what chickens I have left. I think the hens may get their blue egg gene from the father. I've got a few bearded silkies mix and leghorn mix hens that are dropping blue eggs.
Since I had a stroke, once these live out their lives, I'm gonna have to call it quits as far as raising birds go.
