Ok, so I had 3 surviving hatchlings. All 3 look the same, had very definit & large white spots on heads and black wash down the legs (very noticable).They are about 1 month old now and barring is obvious. What do I have, boys or girls?

I've had a few over the last few years fool me. My Lexie had cockerel coloring and headspot. My Zane was not as light as Lexie was, didnt turn pink in the comb till later, and had an in-between headspot. His name was Zoe for awhile, LOL. Those two were in the 10%.

I have followed Cyn's instructions and have been right. I thought one fooled me as he was darker colored like a Pullet, but Shaq is a Cockerel, he is just darker.

Yes, and Shaq is the darkest cockerel that has ever come out of my flock. He's a cool dude, that one.

This brother and sister were six weeks old in this pic and by then, it's very obvious who is who, even if you arent used to this breed like I am:

This was taken at a day old. The 3 on the right. The one lieing down did not make it. All 3 had the same large white spot on the head and dark wash down the front of the legs.
I will have to get some new pics of them. Really hoping they are pullets.
