Sexing Barred Rocks

Pics
Okay so this all gets confusing when you start looking at the chicks, I went in armed with tons of information and am now confused haha.

Okay so I am thinking these are both girls, they are from TSC. Thanks for the help.

This barred rock is about 10 days old. I know it's early and I'll be watching for signs, regardless. However, since we are new, really wanted some opinions. I studied the old pamphlet test on the thread on sexing barred rocks. Omg challenging! Of the choices at TSC, I swear most were leaning toward cockeral. I am trying to claim this one as a pullet. It maybe just a late bloomer with the barring. Of the head spots, along with the darkest legs (cutoff at most toes as the article mentioned, and a barred rock breeder mentioned on BYC)... Oh and no yellowing on the spot as some others had (debatable meaning)...plus she/he had tail feathers before almost all the rest. However, as I mentioned, I could be lying to myself. The others definitely had lots of barring going on. So what's your opinion?

These are my 17 week old BRs I think they are both pullets? Curious if they are a bit if a cross because the colour seems a little washed out in comparison to some I have seen. Thoughts on gender and breeding appreciated .

My daughter insists I need to accept that Zanzibar is a rooster :( when I am honest with myself, he does have some tree trunk legs and is definitely bossy.
