Well that gives me hopeI think it's probably a pullet, since the back feathers have barely any white on them. I had one that feathered in like that on her back. There are all sorts of variation when it comes to hatchery chicks.

The bird upfront in this pic is the same as the chick above. She had me worried for a few weeks, early on, but her comb stayed yellow until 14 weeks old.

I'm not going to get too worried yet because they are still so young.All I can say is that my girls all look like the one on the right. More pics, or another week?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for awhile more because they are so young. I'll take some more pictures this weekend when they are three weeks old, see if there is any difference. Right now they are both the same as far as small yellow comb, same wash down legs, feathering out at same rate. It's just the extra white that the one has that is the difference so far.
