Sexing cream legbars *2 chicks in question *

Idk. Could we have different lines of CLB? I know we didn't have any mix ups. We are only breeding CLB right now and they are kept separate from all other chickens

I doubt it, BUT I sent a message to an expert and told him to come and look. I have some chicks like yours but they were/are EE's. I am pretty sure Jerry will be able to figure it out, but he is traveling for a few days. so we may have to wait..

Your parent stock look good, the rooster is way lighter than any of mine.

I read most of that post. That one turned out to be a pullet. I just contacted the breeder we got ours from and she said 3 girls and 1 roo. She said all her roos always have the white dot on the head and has hatched plenty of pullets that look like my mystery chicks. I guess time will tell.

This is the frustrating thing. Auto sexing has to be culled for, like any other trait. If your source breeder kept these ambiguous chicks and used them as breeding stock, she's simply perpetuating the lack of auto sexing trait. I'd say please, please, whatever gender they turn out to be, please don't breed them. It's just doing a disservice to the breed.

We definitely won't be breeding them. I'm really disappointed!

what Donrae said. Cream Legbars do sometimes throw ambiguous chicks and they should never be kept for breeding

I am new to the breed but have done a LOT research

This pullet (right) is the lightest I have had

This roo had me confused at first when he was wet but once he dried he was obviously a boy
