Sexing Deathlayer Chicks

Bought another batch Of eggs and 5/5 are growing. Will bleach all brooding equipment and use a tub and light instead of cloth brooder and plate heater to see if I can get these kids past 1 week.

only hatched 3, but they are sooo much healthier than last batch. Only 5 days old but they are out and about, eating and running around. The first batch just stood around or under the heater. So I think we are good.

Good to hear that and congratulations, some of mine died because accidents, they got stocked the head on some boxes I had, I removed everything now, I got 4 left

Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you still have some. Mine are doing great, passed the one week mark.

I lost one. Same thing as before. But the two I have left are three weeks and doing great. Should be. Able to sex them soon.

I got 2 males 2 females, I wanna keep just one rooster, don’t know what to do with the other one 😬

Mine are young but I either have two roos or a rooster an a hen. The one in question doesn't have many feathers on her shoulders to tell how the stripes are lining up and is just more femin in than the other.
wait till he is 12 weeks and eat him.😊
I would love to see pictures of them at this age.
