I have 2 Mallard ducklings that I hatched out on June 10. They are growing up quick and I’m not the best at sexing ducklings. They both have juvenile plumage (duh), but their beaks are still black. I’ve noticed a green tint on the tops of their heads. Can anyone tell me what they think their sexes are? They look exactly the same, and I could only catch one 😅

Have you tried voice sexing yet? Females quack and a pretty younger age, and males sound more raspy, like a croaking frog.
Males have orange feet and females have yellow too

Oh goodie! I thought that was the case, but the green threw me off. Although that leaves me with 3 drakes and 3 hens. I currently have a male and female pair of Pekins and Blue Swedes. Should I cull a drake or two?

I hear only one quacking! The other one diving I didn’t hear quacking but she/he was to busy swimming under water! I love the video!!
i don’t hear quacking in that
It wasn’t a clear quack, but that was the only video I have. My younger one started quacking earlier (they are 2 days apart). The other one was only peeping at the time of the video.
