Hi all, I've recently got my first chickens. Everyone is supposed to be female but someone seems to be trying to crow. The noise seems to be from the bantam coop which has these three in it. They're all 15/16 weeks old. Would you agree they all look like girls?

The three below (not the best picture, sorry) are the 'big girls' in the other coop. I'm pretty certain they're all girl as they're a big bunch of wimps!

Your frizzle(?) looks to be the rooster but, you could pass him off as a fluffy little dog.

Thanks for the welcome and many thanks for replying. The little frizzle is a real cutie, I'm going to be particularly upset if he/she does start crowing properly because I really don't think my neighbours will put up with it. We're OK at the moment because there's just been mainly clucking and the odd 'cock a doo' (without the doodle-do on the end!)

Will have to see how we get on! If the frizzle gene recessive? Would I get any frizzly babies out of the other two girls if I hatched any eggs?

Many thanks again!

Just thought I'd let you know that my little cutie turned out to be a little girl after all! She's a good layer, even if the eggs are very tiny!
