I finally. last Fall, got the Pencilled Palms I have been wanting for several years. Well they started laying late and I lost a lot of eggs in the bators when we were w/o power in July for a week. Now I have 6 poults and one of the hens is setting on 10 more eggs. 
My question is, since these are my first PP poults, can they be color sexxed young? My tom is much darker than my hens who almost look like Royal Plams unless you look carefully and I have noticed in my Royals the tom poults tend to get darker faster than the hens. So, I was wondering if the same holds true for the PPs? There are definitely lighter and darker ones in the batch......
