Hello,
I am new to peafowl. I recently purchased 3 peafowl from a breeder (2 females, 1 male) so I thought. They are around 8-
The pied peafowl has been recently acting like the male India blue. Showing off to the confirmed female and raising its feathers at the male. I asked the breeder and they said it’s definitely a female because it doesn’t have the baring on it’s shoulders. But looking at other Pied peafowl pics on the internet the males didn’t look like they had baring like the India Blues.
Also the pied kinda does it’s own thing. The India blues are tied at the hip, while the pied usually hangs alone.
So my question is could the pied be a male? Or just a female showing off?
And if you think the Pied is male, should I be looking for another female? Will issues
