They are going to be tough to sex at this age. The head spot and leg coloration help, but they aren't 100% accurate sexing methods. I would suggest waiting a couple of weeks, you'll start to see differences in feather barring patterns and the cockerels' combs starting to get a bit pink.

Hi there, welcome to BYC! :frow

The great thing about barred birds is that the males get a double dose of white barring from their mums.. meaning for the most part pullets will appear black with white stripe and cockerels will appear white with black stripes. It'll get clearer soon.

Dark wash leg fronts USED to be sex linked with the gals getting dark wash but this trait has diminished and may not longer be useful.

Were they straight run or supposed to be sexed?

Upon close inspection.. sometimes the boys wattles will be red way before they even start getting large.

I think there may some boys in that group according to what I'm seeing.. but hopefully not all of them! :fl

I'm no expert but I have also recently hatched my first lot of Plymouth, and so far all the dark legged ones are female... All but one of yours seem to have very dark legs. I am fairly certain that numbers 1, 3, 4, and 7 are female. Not sure about the others. Mine are about 6 weeks now, I am about to post for other peoples opinions too. At 6 weeks some combs are growing and pinking up, and there are definitely lighter and darker chicks. (Male is light, female is dark)
