Sexing Quail chicks yes or no.?

Can you sex quail chicks or do you have wait till they have grown? do there down colours mean any thing as you can tell im new to Quails as mine are only 3 weeks old!

A good question. ive noticed in my adult italian quail the roos have a dark beak and the hens have a light beak. Im at 2 weeks and one of my quail chicks is showing some dark pigmentation in the beak ..

Which makes me wonder if this could give an early indication in the colour variety?

Other than that my wife says the ones who stand tall and call are male.

I did start to read an article online that said there was a way to sex quail chicks but it was an abstract with a payment required.

perhaps an aficionado could provide some direction on this old but still relevant question..Thanks
