Sexing RIR

Chicken math kicked in and I bought 2 straight run RIR chicks today. Im hoping for a rooster and I have read on here that 70-80% of SR chicks are roos but does that apply to RIR or can they be sexed. Also picked up a very cute little brown leghorn.

They run 50% cocks and 50% hens

I have had the best luck getting roos from the SR bin!LOL I usually end up with a few roos every year even though I always say NO MORE STRAIGHT RUN!

good luck! if they do turn out to be hens, there are SO many roos needing homes these days, it might be a good idea to take a look in the newspaper clasifieds. thers always like a million in there
