How can you tell the difference? I have not idea on mine and they are 48days old now...

These brahmas are rather difficult to sex. But the 3 roos & 1 female were pretty obvious within the last 2 weeks.

The female's comb is pale and nonexistent when compared to the others. Her tail is long and pointed, and she was the first to feather out in the breast. Very smooth feathering.

The 3 boys all have large red combs, small poofy tails, and rougher feathering.

The other 2 also have pretty distinct red combs, but not ss large as the others. Of of these 2 has a tail similar to the female. I'm holding out hope that I have 2 girls. We'll see...

Can someone help me sex my two Buff Brahmas, please? They are 7 weeks old in the pictures, but are now 8 weeks in real life. :)

BB #1 on right. He/she has feathered out quicker than the other BB (on left). Also has a little bigger, redder comb.

BB#2 Slow to feather out.

I have a Brahma mix and I've never had this breed before so any advice would be wonderful. I may have to post several times because my phone will only let me do one at a time. This the egg it hatched from.

What is the chick in the middle in the first picture?

Great! I have one with almost that coloring. I'm interested to see what she'll look like. I would to see a picture of all of them!

I'm also having the same issue! I bought eggs online and they hatched successfully under my white brahma. But I now have 3 black brahma chicks at 8 weeks old who are completely confusing about their gender! They all have soft feathers, they all have round hack feathers, but 2 of them have slightly redder combs!

no crowing yet, I can't keep any roosters as I'm in the city. And have had complaints before, so these will become table birds :S will post picture of each bird soon!
