Hello everyone,

I’m new to group and chickens. I pickup some baby chicks from the local feed store although my welsummer has the darker liner and the dark red on top of her head I am noticing a small comb at day 10 could this be a roo? I’ve included some pics for your Help thank you!

Keep an eye out for combing and wattles growing and getting red quicker and listen out for crowing x

Too young to tell. My welsummer hen had a tiny comb like that at that age.

Hmmm...yours looks a bit different than my Welsummer babies. Mine have a very defined V on their heads with the thick stripe that goes down the back. What color are their legs? They look a bit darker than mine also but could just be the lighting. I am not super familiar with the breed so maybe there is just a lot of variance between chicks.
