Sexing wyandottes

Yes, I'm sorry! Lightest is the splash laced red.

I've seen people wind up with all cockerels this year. It's just been a cockerely year for some. Post pics of that one here in a couple weeks. We'll hope that my suspicion is wrong! 🤞
5 out of 14 were cockerels for me. (One is still in waiting in the wings before it goes to the cockerel farm, though! 😉)

I agree 😳 Hold off on something drastic like rehoming for the one with the smaller comb, but I still think cockerel
Well.... I've kept watching them and the 2 obvious roos have a much more aggressive attitude behind them. On top of that, the neck feathers (which have a name that I can't recall) are much.... "softer" on the *girl*. I'll post a pic In a week or so.... But I'm thinking it's a girl. Could very well be just a slower development on a boy. Either way.... It's a nice looking bird, so my fingers are crossed.

9 out of 10 I received were cockerels and my only hen was killed 🤦🏼‍♀️
so I agree on the cockerel year. It’s not even the year of the Rooster 😫
They all seem very developed to be Pullets I would say all cockerel
Mine is 14 weeks old and still less developed on the comb.
The photo attached is her at 9 weeks but even at 14 still looks about the same.
The cockerels with her are 11 weeks old.

Well.... It appears that I have a buyer for a few roosters tomorrow, so the trio looks like it will be split up. As this will be my last chance to post pics of all 3, here we go.

I'm now leaning to all 3 being cockerels. 😞 The only things that really have me scratching my head at this point are the "softer" neck feathers, and the general demeanor of the lighter one. That and the waddle are a little smaller.... But it's not looking good. The 5 pics in the middle are all of the lighter one.

Yeah... I tend to agree now. Although the "medium" one does seem to have the feathers on the go.

Also.... I think my math was wrong before. They're about 9 weeks now. Ish.

Dangit.... Bought 4 different breeds (cochin, favorelles, orpington and wyandottes) with the hopes of keeping one hen of each... We're only going to get cochin and cuckoo lavender orpington.

Oh well. At least these guys should be more quiet than the Icelandics that they're replacing. 😂

Both blue laced reds and the splash laced red are cockerels.
