Those would be some feisty young females.Personally I have only had toms strut at a very early age such as the first week but I know of people that have had hens strut that young. I have definitely had hens display by 3 months old.

Indeed! Those would be some feisty young females.
The dark one is a Penciled Palm tom. It looks like there is some brown on his wings which would make him a Tri-Color rather than a Royal Palm. You can see how his snood has retracted to a cone shape. The other is a Royal Palm hen. Her behavior is typical of the less dominant turkey.Ok, who wants to help me out? These two are 3 months old, royal palm. They are 1 week apart in age, almost identical size. The dark one is older and displays/ chest bumps the light one who will dance them sit. The light one, however, is the more aggressive with geese and dogs, puffing up and even chased a goose and puffs immediately when startled. The white one never chest bumps the dark one. They Both have mohawk of feathers but nubs?? Thoughts?? I'm trying to post more pics.
