Well if it is a Sexlink then it would have to be a pullet because roos would be white.

But IMO I think it is a roo and I dont think it is a sexlink. It has a pretty even color, but it is a little too dark and has the wrong leg color for a Buff Orp, so I say maybe a Buff X Red cross.

Can you get a better close up pic of the comb, its a little washed out in those pics. But from what I can tell, it is looking more like a roo.

Here is a baby pic I don't think cross as he she was ordred from hatchery (not by me) feed store rescue.

im no good at finding out breeds of baby chicks, but i'm REALLY going with rooster. keep us updated, though!!

The chick color is pretty consistant with Hew Hampshire red chicks, they usually have a light red body, a slightly darker red coloring around their neck, and yellow heads.

For my red sex-links i use a RIR roo over a SLW hen

the boys end up whitish with a few red feathers a black tail and a wild-type color scheme

while the girls end up red with verry light black lacing and black tails

but because of their mom and dad having different comb types they can have rose or single combs!

I am thinking about getting a few Comets. Does anyone else have them? Are they good layers?
