to pass the time, why do goats have beards? I know the bucks use them as pee rags....

My Nubians I've had didn't have beards nor those "necklaces". Not sure why necklaces existed in goats but it has to be a reason for them. Do people cut the necklaces on them to have a "smoother look on their necklines"?
