Oh my gosh, poor Abby. The filly is out and she's still writhing in pain. Poor girl, she's making me relive my 2 natural births all over again.

I think the stuff hanging out is the sac and the umbilical cord. The placenta is probably still inside Abby. If she's like humans, she'll have contractions and expel it. That might be why she's acting like she's still miserable.

I guess its afterbirth- We have never had a mare act like she was in so much pain after birthing... they never lay down and act like they are still foaling???? That is wierd....stillllll watching

Abby doesn't seem to have too much interest in her filly, she looks like she is still in a lot of pain. poor girlie
