Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

Are these all evergreen?
yes; from the left, if memory serves correct (labels long since lost) they're a variegated griselina with pinus bungeana behind, hebe with variegated pittisporum behind, and mexican orange blossom with [I've completely forgotten the name of the tree behind but it's evergreen too]. And behind them all is a yew hedge to 4', with more fairly dense but mainly deciduous planting beyond. The prevailing wind comes from that direction, so it's a shelter belt, and therefore a lot of evergreens are essential.

Happy New Year Everyone! Another year come and gone.
Sunny day here also.

I'm in awe of all that green foliage! (Of the flock too). Are these all evergreen?
Most of the trees we have here are bare in winter and it makes it much easier for the hawks. We need to plant more olive trees.
Will Holme Oaks grow where you are. Fast growing, green all year.

Today we had 21C and mainly sunny weather. (Just to make you jealous).

Did you go to the allotment again today @Shadrach? No hangover from last nights whiskey?

Are you all fine? No firework bombs that harmed you, pets or chickens?. Not too much booze?
Sunday day off. Family late lunch. Trying to plan a holiday with the youngest.
I don't get hangovers if I stick to a single malt whiskey.
