Turns out I have to revise my assessment of my keeping arrangements. It seems at least some of my chickens really do free range.
A chap doing some work on the roof put his head round my kitchen door just now and asked what he should do about the chickens sitting on his truck.
It seems there has been a bit of fence flying going on.

Sounds like they are ready for a day trip.

On and off drizzle rather than the rain they forecast. We all got out for a couple of hours. Carbons leg strain is no longer noticable when she walks but I can see there is still a small problem when she tries to turn around on the extension roost bar.
Fret is still doing a slow moult. She's coping well and is just a bit grumpy but she's eating and drinking okay, treats and commercial feed. They all prefer the mash.

I had visitors yesterday. The keeper had some health concerns and brought these two over for me to have a look at.

Hello X Batts been quite a few days since I posted.
My DH was in the Hospital 5 days with pneumonia.
All is well he is home.
Tax till I can have new photos soon.
