Looks like they are digging their way to Australia!

She probably did but I needed to see that all the eggs came out and see that she pooped. It's not over until you see a hen that was egg bound poop.

When Deana was winding up her egg laying she had a bit of a hard time I think.

One day I saw this hanging out of her vent.

Spoiler: Warning: Gross photo.

It turned out to be egg membrane that had dried up and blocked the vent. When I wet it down and carefully removed it a very reassuring stream of poop followed.

This has been a fascinating and interesting thread. It was 179 pages when i started, now at 208.

I have been keeping chickens for almost 3 years now, and still have much to learn. I thought they were just dumb birds before; but now realize how wrong I was.

I have definitely learned new stuff from these 208 pages.

And as per set guidelines, I owe tax, which I will gladly pay. Just need to hop on my phone first.

I currently only have a flock of 4 (a frizzle naked neck and 3 bantams).
