My first Speckled Sussex are about the same age, but in their first real molt.

Lots of pure white feathers.

She's having a difficult molt, and I have been watching her closely. They all appear to be done molting.
Wow, thanks for sharing pictures. That's a lot of new white. Very pretty.

Our Speckled Sussex all had their first adult molts at 8 months. Seems early but happened with a couple of our Brahmas a few years ago, too.

The other Speckle, Lil Nugs, is slowly molting now. We'll see if she starts growing in white feathers, too.

One and a half hours today. We all got out and got a bit of sun.
The remaining single male goose was supposed to be rehomed today but he was still there when I went to the field. He hadn't been fed. He had knocked his water bucket over which I filled last night so he may not have had water all day.:( Poor chap acts very lonely.:(
People are just disgusting.

They most certainly are, it’s not sweary boy’s fault he’s on his own & he can’t do anything to change his situation, that’s down to those who were supposed to pick him up / arranged same :he
