I have not encountered anyone who is actually rude or abusive on here. You are correct:
Don't go into any of the teen threads.I have not encountered anyone who is actually rude or abusive on here.
I like this corner, too. Maybe we all enjoy sitting around Shadrach's chair as much as the chickens doI prefer this nice quiet corner of BYC
Her poof, pantaloon and short legs make her look all cute and cuddly, but her personality seems very independent.Mow is so incredibly beautiful.
Rude is a rather subjective notion. I have never found any posts downright rude, or insulting, on BYC (granted, I only read posts centered on chickens). But I find an awful lot of them assertively judgemental ; a few I I did find moderately offensive or displeasing because of that, although they were definitely not impolite. It's been true on this thread, on mine, and on almost all the threads that I follow. I don't mind overall, I think it's partly due to reading a foreign language and to the fact that writing things down make them come out as if set in stone.I have not encountered anyone who is actually rude or abusive on here.
Let's just hope none of us jump on his lapI like this corner, too. Maybe we all enjoy sitting around Shadrach's chair as much as the chickens do![]()
Yes, bucolic indeed, even asmr listening to them. You're lucky. These are the sounds I get in the morning from a 800 grams old bantam lady. Here's a bucolic video for your enjoyment:

To me it sounds like Chipie is calling out for her flock mates, a request to respond to her call. So she knows where they are. To join or not to join. These are the sounds I get in the morning from a 800 grams old bantam lady.
If you think I'm going to start hand feeding you all walnuts, grapes and other goodies you've got another think coming.I like this corner, too. Maybe we all enjoy sitting around Shadrach's chair as much as the chickens do![]()
People are judgemental. Freedom of speech works both ways. There is nothing wrong with having an opinion, or defending that opinion in an assertive manner. Some people seem to live in a state of being offended but from what I've read, those people don't have any problems stating their opinion, they just don't like it when others do the same. But I find an awful lot of them assertively judgemental ; a few I I did find moderately offensive or displeasing because of that, although they were definitely not impolite.
