She was lovely. How many chicks did she hatch in her life?

She never sat. The only eggs she laid were the few last spring. She was a year old when she laid. I assume the cancer inhibited hormones pretty early on because she never went broody and she didn't mate after she stopped laying.

Mr. Bumble appears to have improved, albeit ever so slightly. When I got home from work I hand fed him some dried grubs soaked in kefir, followed by a few capfuls of collidial silver. My wife had gotten him to eat some scrambled eggs as well. Won't say he's out of the woods yet though. I'll be happy when I see a normal little pile of chicken poo.

Yes, and I’ve done it with my kids and dogs and chickens alike. It’s funny to me to look at it from a non-chicken keeper perspective to hear someone say they’re hoping to see a certain kind of poop.

Here are some chicken pictures for you, Shad. It’s been so cold lately these girls mostly just sit around in the covered area of their run, staying warm as best they can. I threw some scratch in there to break up the boredom.

In April 2021 I returned to the UK having spent the last ten years living with and studying various groups of chickens on a small holding In Catalonia Spain.

I've seen colloidal silver being mentioned before.
If you don't mind me asking, how is it meant to help and what are the indications that you need to use it on a chook?
