Windows 10 was bad, but Windows 11 is worse. I want to go back to 7.That's been my experience too. Life in the Apple universe can be maddening at times, but hey, they work! Adblockers on all devices, so no ads. Apparently better privacy than other devices, but I'm sure that's all been compromised by now as well.
cons: Apple Music is a pig - MS Media Player is (or at least was) much better. MS Office for Mac is dumbed down, deliberately I'm convinced. There's always something I used to be able to do on my work (Windows) computer that I couldn't do on my iMac with Office for Windows, and it wasn't worth the hassle to divide the hard drive and make half of it Windows. And now Windows has apparently gone to crap, from what friends tell me.

Windows 10 also made the mistake of making a bad impression on me when it came out. I took a brief try of the older versions and it was better than 22H2. The bloat was the only issue.Windows 10 was bad, but Windows 11 is worse. I want to go back to 7.
This is pretty much how I use cookbooks. Baking I follow the recipe but anything else I consider the actual recipe a basic guideline. Occasionally I will use an actual recipe then tweak it to my liking and that’s the recipe that goes in my own cookbook.if I need inspiration to cook, I check for online recipes.
I just figured out how to turn off copilot in excel and word. Much happier now!I might have to, although the idea of learning yet another OS at my age is tiresome.
But the endless AI crap in Office THAT CAN'T BE TURNED OFF is pushing me right over the edge of the cliff, so maybe that's where I'll wind up.
Now, if I could just figure out how to turn OFF the "like so open a link to learn more about it" thing for the lock screen and desktop pics on my computer! I just want it to feed more pics like that in when it changes the pic....NOT open a link to find out more! If I want details on something, I'LL LOOK IT UP ON MY OWN THANK YOU VERY MUCH! (some update or other broke it so now it auto-looks up what I don't care about: the pic is ascetically pleasing. That's all.)I just figured out how to turn off copilot in excel and word. Do tell!!!!!I just figured out how to turn off copilot in excel and word. Much happier now!
I think I went into each app and clicked on options and under options it had one labelled copilot and it was defaulted to ‘on’. I turned it off and I haven’t seen it since.Do tell!!!!!
I last checked about 2 months ago, and the internet outrage was pretty impressive.
